We. Are. Back! That’s right, all three Film Pigs are finally back together after a long separation for all-new podcasts, starting with this episode on Movie Vehicles! This episode has got it all: the latest movie news, a riveting discussion, an impassioned courtroom drama, a weird line reading, general good-timeyness, and Todd getting really upset that the dumb game Skelton made up is totally rigged against him.
This time, on a very special episode of The Film Pigs Podcast:
- 0:00:00 – Intro
- 0:00:59 – Movie News
- 0:07:51 – Host Stephen J. Skelton presents this episode’s theme: Movie Vehicles
- 0:33:44 – Movie Jail
- 0:42:41 – The Nic Cage Memorial Bizarre Line Reading
- 0:46:06 – Cold Reading
- 0:49:25 – 2 Quiz 2 Furious!
- 1:08:54 – The Bottom 5: Dumbest Movie Vehicles
- 1:10:33 – A Moment Of Positivity
- 1:12:03 – Outro
All 3 pigs! Yay! It’s been so long since we were fully pigged. (I’m still waiting for that thrilling race footage, though.)
Working on the footage. We’re having some YouTube issues.
Great comeback show. I love angry Todd. How could you guys forget the Bond cars (Aston DB5, the submarine lotus!) and the cars in American Graffiti. And happy to hear we have another one in a week. I hope for your safety Todd is the quiz master.
I actually had the Bond cars on my list but left them out once I realized that Bond gadgets might make a good future podcast subject.
The next podcast will be posted at the beginning of June. Since we are also doing our web show, it’s difficult to keep up the pace of bi-weekly podcasts. Our goal for the immediate future is to keep up the weekly web show and get a podcast in once a month. Unless of course some big Hollywood type starts paying us to do this.
Hallelujah! This is my most anticipated movie event of the summer!
Todd is such a bad loser. 🙂
I think the big problem with Punchable Face’s Kickstarter is that you don’t get copy of the movie if you back it. He expects you to pay twice! I’ve backed two games on Kickstarter for $15 and $20 and in both cases I will get a copy of the game when they’re released.
That’s a good point. I’ve backed a few Kickstarters myself, but only where I would be getting a copy of the final product, which to me is the whole point of a Kickstarter project.
This seems likely to just reignite the bitterness but unless I miscounted I think that in the end Todd actually beat Stee by one point on the trivia questions, and only lost because of the racing game.
(And a whole episode on the Bond movies would be excellent; they are kind of their own wacky genre.)
Your’re probably right. Between the questions, the racetrack, and the video taping I may have jumbled the numbers.
Also, I often deliberately mess up the scores if I think it will make Todd angrier (don’t tell Todd).
Oh no, I think your running total was correct — I’m just saying that even if Stee was getting easier questions, he still would have lost without the points from the races. Which may just make Todd angrier about the racetrack… so everyone* wins!
*(Everyone but Todd.)
