This episode, the Film Pigs Podcast takes off in a bold new direction with The Bacon! We cast off our regular podcast format and delve deep into the mysterious psyche of Stephen Falk, whom we get to know on a deep personal level within the confines of the 37-minute running time. No detail is spared, including how many copies of pornographic VHS tapes he’s been gifted with over the years.
This time, on a very special episode of The Film Pigs Podcast:
- 0:00:00 – Intro
- 0:02:07 – The Bacon: Stephen Falk
- 0:35:34 – Outro
I’ve adored Stee since his MBTV/TWoP days when he mercilessly ripped on reality shows – I used to watch shows just because I knew he was going to recap them. Now he’s an elder statesman and shit. I loved this podcast, and I’m really (pathetically) excited to hear more about Skelton and television’s Todd Robert Anderson.
Loved this one. If you do another interview with Falk, could you ask him about his writing process? Like, how he starts a script, any techniques or tips he has etc. Thanks
P.S Have been putting off watching Ferris Buller for years, this has encouraged me to finally see it.
This was a great insight into the deep-voiced enigma we know as ‘Stee’.
I look forward to ones with Todd and especially Skelton who, of the three, we know the least about.
Unrelated to this (excellent) episode, but I just saw this article about Cameron Crowe getting out of “movie jail” and of course I thought of you guys: http://www.hitfix.com/blogs/awards-campaign/posts/cameron-crowe-gets-out-of-movie-jail-with-charming-and-commercial-we-bought-a-zoo
This is great perspective from a guy who obviously knows the industry very well. Being a writer has to be one of the toughest gigs around. Plus I love his answer to what he would change about cinema, I couldn’t agree more.
Thanks for the comments, guys! Kara, I can’t believe you read the TWOP stuff. Hope you didn’t suffer through Temptation Island with me. Ben, see Ferris. What’s wrong with you?
I wanted to chime in on how much I enjoyed this episode but now all I can think about is how Ben hasn’t seen Ferris. That’s just not right.
