Welcome one and all to the premiere Film Pigs Podcast! This new feature will focus on what the Pigs do best: extended complaining about the movies and the people who make them. Each episode will be based on a theme chosen by that week’s host and will contain rants, features, bits, thoughtful discussion, and the finest audio effects that can be crammed into a MacBook.
This time, on a very special episode of The Film Pigs Podcast:
- Insightful analysis of recent movie news.
- A rant on teen comedies by host Stephen Falk.
- We send someone to Movie Jail.
- The Nic Cage Memorial Bizarre Line Reading
- Tonn Slingdog’s DVD Corner
- Trivia!
- A cold reading from The Breakfast Club.
- The Bottom Five: Worst 5 Movies Seen In 2010
- A Moment Of Positivity
Excellent! I look forward to subscribing to your rants in iTunes.
I seriously believe the definitive examination of the 80’s teen comedy is yet to be written. The original Spring Break is a great movie by today’s standards.
This is easily one of the best ideas you guys have had. I’m so excited to hear more.
Very cool. Podcasting is the future, someone once said; and I agree. Look forward to more in the future.
Fucking great guys, a new year and more Pig’s. What more do you need?
You actually made movie news interesting.
I await the Steven Seagal episode.
Great podcast, enjoyed every minute. Liked how it was slightly more focused than before, but not too much. Looking forward to more.
The Film Pigs WHAT?! Podcast? I thought you guys already had a… I mean… That other recording that you usually do… with the bad movies… and the DVDs.
I’m so confused.
Have no fear, TV’s Mr. Neil. The podcast is new, and we understand new things are scary and confusing. There will be more DVD commentaries (although probably not so much with Netflix, as that seemed to make people cranky).
Obviously, I was just joking around. I heard about you guys doing a new podcast on DVD Podblast’s Twitter feed. They’re starting up again, don’tcha know.
All kidding aside, I like the new show. Looking forward to new episodes. Every two weeks, you say? Splendid.
I assumed you were joking. I’ve found that if commenters on our site aren’t directly questioning our worth as human beings they generally get us pretty well. A great example of not getting it is “lezxotic” from our YouTube channel (and it’s a pretty hilarious yelling match).
Every two weeks is our target. Our goal is to put out this show on a more consistent basis than the commentaries and vlogs, even though we’ll be doing all three.
Good fun. Great start!
Really funny.
I’m a little puzzled by why the website redesign got rid of the links to Jokey Bits and your other sites. Having all those links in one place was an easy way to keep track of what you jokers were up to.
We didn’t get rid of the links, they were just placed in the footer. We’ve moved them back into, and further up, the sidebar so its once again easier to find external links.
The main reason for the site redesign was to create a home page that always has the latest Podcast, Movie Review, and DVD Commentary featured, with the latest few blog posts beneath. The idea is to make it easier to see what’s new in each category and to navigate the categories of our massive, hugely important media empire library. It’s a work in progress, so any feedback is welcomed.
